visual communications that get results
diane’s trainingbegan at an early age, while spending time at her architect father’soffice. as a child, she mastered the use of the electriceraser, the artof rolling up blueprints and the ability to navigate the office in a drafting chair on wheels. realizing the limited demand for such skills, she decided to develop her love of design in another direction and earned a b.a. degree in visual communications at florida state university in 1979.
from there, diane decided tosee more of the world and worked in advertising and design firms (including 16 years as principal of her own firm, schultzdesign) in tampa, nyc and atlanta before forming clay dog design, in north alabama’s “rocket city”. when she’s not designing at the computer these days, diane improves her skills of throwing clay and consults with her engineer husband and four-legged advisors.
